About Gil Seton

For some 25 years, Gil Seton Jr. has been involved in the development and/or investment in affordable housing. Through SP Investment Fund LLC and its affiliates in Los Angeles, Gil Seton Jr. has invested in over 50 limited partnerships which own over 5,000 housing units.

Recently, some of the companies Mr. Seton manages have been working with Riverside Charitable Corporation to renovate three apartment buildings in Ilion and Saratoga Springs, New York, and Altoona, Pennsylvania. The New York residents will be seniors with low or very low incomes; families will occupy the Pennsylvania facility. The projects will offer social services to residents.

Previous to his tenure at SP Investment Fund, Seton was president of Showplace Development Inc. At that firm he facilitated the construction of four affordable housing complexes in central Los Angeles and Huntington Park, California. He worked closely with governmental agencies and private lenders and equity sources to obtain financing.

He also served as a project manager for Calmark Development, a company ranked 13th in the nation for building multi-family dwellings. He had authority over 1,100 units in seven locations.

Gil Seton Jr. is longtime personal supporter of the Women’s HIV Program at the University of California in San Francisco, and the Hearts with Hope Foundation.
